6 Things you shouldn't use for masturbation (1)

We have collected the top 6 things that are not suitable for “solo mode”, although their appearance and functionality may suggest that they may well be suitable for “non-purpose” use.

For the sake of your health, think twice before using these six items while masturbating: they are not as safe as they seem.

Hands if your nails are sharp or dirty

Hands are the perfect vehicle for enjoyment. They do not make noise, do not require recharging, are always with us, and, moreover, are free. But before touching your clitoris with your fingers, make sure that your nails do not pose a threat to it.

Sharp or uneven nails can harm sensitive parts of the body, says Jacques Moritz, MD, an Ob/GYN at Weill Cornell Medicine in New York. Abrasions – no matter how tiny – cause inflammation and irritation, and make you more susceptible to sexually transmitted infections. And Natasha Chinn, a New Jersey gynecologist, reminds us that before masturbating, you should always wash your hands and thoroughly clean the dirt from under your nails.

Fruits and vegetables

There are many jokes about cucumbers, bananas, and carrots that people use for sexual pleasure. Well, their shape really can lead to erotic thoughts. But such impulses should not be realized.

Lauren Streicher, MD, Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine, reminds us that sex toys are durable, but food can fall apart. The time after masturbation is best spent in a state of bliss, rather than catching pieces of carrots out of yourself.

In addition, fruits and vegetables may have an uneven surface. They have also been exposed to bacteria and chemicals that the vagina is unfamiliar with. The gastrointestinal tract copes with them without problems, but the vagina can become inflamed. It is better to leave agricultural products for salads.

For those who cannot resist the temptation, experts advise not to forget about condoms, which should completely cover the subject. It will not only protect against bacteria but will keep the pieces that have fallen off inside, preventing them from remaining in the vagina.

Electric Toothbrush

It is long, vibrates, and literally begs for the role of a sex toy. But it is worth refraining from implementing this idea. The bristles only seem to be a suitable tool for stimulating the clitoris, but in fact, they cause microtrauma. The same applies to the vagina: a toothbrush, if inserted inside, will scratch the delicate mucosa. And, of course, if the brush is not new, then bacteria accumulated on it will become an additional danger.

If someone can’t go a day without knowing what it’s like to masturbate with an electric toothbrush, then doctors recommend wrapping it in cloth and putting a condom over it before applying it to the vulva. And even in this case, you should take a new one and never use it for your mouth. In general, a regular vibrator is much more convenient!

Candles

To some people, they seem like a great alternative to dildos, but they’re not. They should be avoided for the same reason as vegetables: suppositories can break inside the vagina. And yes, they are the wrong size. So it’s best to leave them for decoration and never use them for masturbation.

Toys without an extended base for anal sex

For the anus, sex devices that do not have an expanded base are categorically not suitable. It only protects against incidents when the toy falls through the sphincter into the rectum. Anal sex gadgets can be used for vaginal penetration, but not the other way around.

The length of the vagina is only 7-12 centimeters, while the rectum is part of the lower gastrointestinal tract, in which the toy can easily be “lost”. In addition, during anal sex, a lot of lubrication is usually used, which increases the risk that the device will slip out of the hands.

Any toy that has just been in the anus

The vagina contains many bacteria, but this does not mean that it is ready to accept those that live in the rectum or near the anus. If they get into the vagina, it can lead to problems. One of them is bacterial vaginosis and its accompanying “fishy” smell and burning sensation when urinating.

It is unlikely that any of us need such troubles. If you’ve used your favorite vibrator for anal sex (even if it’s for light stimulation of the anus, not penetration), wash it thoroughly when you’re about to move on to the classics. Or put on a condom and then take it off.

Follow these simple rules – and masturbation will bring you pleasure, with no problems.
