Google recently announced integration with the e-commerce platform Shopify. The partnership will allow 1.7 million Shopify merchants to submit their products to Google Search, Shopping, YouTube, Google Images, and more. Recently.

Google decided to expand cooperation with other major e-commerce sites, including WooCommerce, GoDaddy, and Square. This approach will give retailers the ability to show up on Google for free and give shoppers a wide choice.

The principle of working with e-commerce platforms will be as follows: when a customer sees products on Google, he will see in one place a summary of all the purchase options that the seller offers. The purchase options screen is still being tested in Google Search and the Purchases tab. Later this year, the company plans to roll it out to YouTube and image search.

What else is Google planning to implement?

The Google blog says that the company plans to carry out a number of implementations:

  • Launch a deal results page in Search and the Shopping tab to make it easier for shoppers to learn about brand promotions during seasonal sales. At the same time, new real-time deals optimization reports will appear in the Merchant Center ;
  • Enable Shop Pay as a purchase option to provide your customers with more convenient checkout options
  • Add augmented reality (AR) not only for trying on cosmetics, but also clothes.
