CHILDREN'S WHIMS WHAT TO DO AND WHO IS TO BLAME (1)

Surely every mother at least once got into a situation where the child became completely uncontrollable. Have you also experienced childish whims? Does the memory of your child throwing a tantrum at the supermarket still terrify you? Calm down and read a few tips from psychologists on how to stop children’s whims and avoid their appearance in the future.

Caprice is the simplest manipulation. The child tries the boundaries of what is permitted, tries to attract the attention of parents. Having yielded at least once, you will condemn yourself to other similar situations in the future. Follow simple rules, and you will quickly forget what your child’s tantrums and whims are.

Tears don’t count

Children’s tears, of course, look touching, especially for a beloved child. But if you give up and give in, the child will understand that he has a powerful weapon in his hands. Ensure that he communicates with you in a normal tone without whining and whimpering and does not “turn on” tears.

Everyone lives by the rules

If the child still continues to act up, warn that he can be punished. State what specific punishment awaits him in this case. But always keep your word. The child will not believe you next time if now the punishment bypasses the capricious.

Authoritarianism – aside

Listen to the opinion of the child, let him have his own opinion. Tell him exactly what he is wrong about, explain where he made a mistake. The “I want to” argument should be out of your vocabulary. After all, your goal is not to control the child, but to guide him. Do you feel the difference?

Communication and more communication

Keep close contact with your child at all times. Feel free to hug and kiss him again. So the baby feels the love of the mother and becomes calmer. If the situation is quite tense – call on a sense of humor to help. A joke will defuse the situation and distract the baby. In a relaxed environment, the child will relax and become more pliable.

Of course, whims are an unpleasant phenomenon. But you should not be angry with your little one, there is your fault in his whims. He only learns this world, and the task of parents is to find the right key to the child.
