It is also very convenient to use massagers with microcurrents with cloth face masks because they are almost perfect conductors. It would seem that these beauty assistants have only solid pluses. Only recently, sheet masks began to rapidly lose their positions – so what’s the matter?
First, the defenders of nature zealously protest against them. They claim that both the masks themselves and their packaging pollute the environment. Due to the frenzied popularity of this product in the beauty market, the amount of plastic is really growing, so this claim sounds quite reasonable.
Secondly, there is quite a lot of silicone in the composition of budget fabric masks. However, do not immediately demonize this ingredient. The main thing is to understand that in large quantities it can cause irritation and blockage of pores, especially for those with problem skin.
Thirdly, according to recent studies, the preservatives methylparaben and phenoxyethanol are used to create such masks. What does this mean in layman’s terms? The danger lies in the fact that if you keep the mask on your face for longer than the 20-25 minutes stated on the package, then there is a real risk of exacerbation of dermatitis or allergies. And after this period, the risk increases as much as twice!
By no means do we urge you to immediately throw away the entire supply of your fabric beauty assistants in the trash, but we believe that it is sometimes much more useful to replace them with a regular mask. So you will simultaneously make your skin and mother nature better!
