America is grateful for this great holiday to Anna Javis, who only in 1910 achieved that once a year all Americans congratulate their mothers. She has come a long way in several years before the legislature considered her proposal.
Today in America this event is celebrated on the second Sunday of May. And in importance, Mother’s Day is not inferior to Christmas, Easter, and Valentine’s Day. On this day, men are busy looking for gifts for their beloved mothers, which they give in the evening, at the festive table. From flowers, it is customary to give carnations.
Mother’s Day, Japan
This holiday in Japan was not accepted immediately and was perceived for a long time as unnecessary. The law was first adopted in 1915 thanks to the teacher Aoyama Gakuin. But unfortunately, most men did not consider the work of women at home and the upbringing of children something unusual but took it for granted.
Previously, it was customary to pin a carnation on clothes, which was considered a sign of love between a child and a mother. Now the holiday has become less popular. But despite this, the Japanese deeply respect, appreciate, and honor their mothers.

Mother’s Day, Thailand
Mother’s Day in Thailand is celebrated not in spring, but in summer, but its history is no less interesting.
On August 12, residents celebrate this holiday, which coincides with the birthday of Queen Sirikit. After all, the Thais themselves consider her their mother. Therefore, the celebration is magnificent and pompous.

In Italy, this holiday is not only pleasant but also has a long history. Back in the era of the ancient Greeks and Romans, the Goddess of Fertility, in fact, the mother, was honored at this time.
In this country, mothers are given special honor and respect, mother plays a big role in the life of children. Children bring flowers, sweets, and small gifts to their mothers, while adults thank and give gifts more substantially.
